Hello there! I’m Destynie

I’m a North Texas native and grew up in a tiny town. In pursuit of a Fashion Marketing degree, I moved to Dallas to attend the Art Institute. After putting that degree to work for a couple years, I realized (like many of us do) that I loved photography and didn’t love sitting at a desk all day. Photography has been my full time job for the last 8 years and I am so thankful to be doing something that I love!

I have a wonderful husband, and we have been together for 11 years (married for 5). We have 2 precious baby angel pups who I will habitually show you photos of. When I’m not working, I’m probably enjoying a good vegetarian meal with friends, traveling, soaking up the sun, playing with my dogs, or attending a concert.

We have made the move to San Diego where I can stay warm and become a lizard on the beach. Once a month, I still make my way back to Dallas because I love my Texas clients and cannot bare to part with them! I am taking new clients in San Diego, but I will still be serving North Texas forever and eva!

Fun fact: I have seen Harry Styles 9 times in a year and take a lot of pride in that

My Photography Philosophy

I believe that the best photos are photos of you being yourself. If you like to dance, let’s dance! If you like to be goofy - let’s do that! And if you prefer to stand there and smile, I am still down.

I really love capturing those little candid moments; the ones you don’t even realize are happening. The moments that mean the most and are the best to look back on. In order to get these photos, I try to make my clients feels as comfortable as possible. I’ll give you as much or as little direction as you need! I’ll also probably give you silly prompts to get the most natural reactions - so please trust the process haha! I will always be your hype woman during the shoot because I’m really good at that too.
